Annual Buddy Day & BBQ (2013)
Saturday 21st September 2013
We’re holding our annual “Buddy Day” on Saturday 21st September, which is an opportunity for anyone to fly in another aircraft type to the one they normally fly. Students, Pilots (and maybe even visitors) alike - just ask one of the folk milling around on the day if they have a plane and a spare seat.
The Buddy Day will start at 11 with a cup of tea in the Tipsy Nipper Restaurant. This is a chance to meet other club members and to have a chat, exchange experiences or try to talk your way into a different aircraft type. The BBQ and flying will start at 12:30 and you can see what other aircraft are like – maybe different to what you are learning on or are used to flying. It’s about sharing experience – Pilots may ask for a small contribution on the day, may swap you a trip or maybe even settle for a cup of tea.
You will also get the chance to try the Treasure Hunt with your new buddies.
Aircraft available so far – the TB9 (G-BKUE), a C172, a Warrior, and possibly a Grob
