10.00am for 10.30 Departure
Our next fly-out this season is a relatively short hop over to Cumbernauld for a coffee and bacon roll. Just north of Glasgow, Cumbernauld is a handy destination if you don't want to stray too far but with what can sometimes be an interesting approach from the north if you catch some of the turbulence over the warehouses in the industrial estate beside the airport .....
The plan is to meet at Fife for 10.00am, sort ourselves out in terms of who's flying in what aircraft and then get in the air as soon as possible. It should only take about 30 minutes to get there so we ought to be back at Fife by early afternoon. Of course, you don't have to go straight there ..... you can always take a more "scenic" route and spend a bit more time in the air!
As always, students are especially welcome - if you've never been much further than Largo Bay, this will be a great opportunity to see what flying cross country is about. If you e-mail me or leave a message on the Discussion Forum, we can sort out seating arrangements to make sure as many people as possible get to come on the trip.
