Annual Buddy Day & BBQ (2014)
Saturday 29th March 2014
We’re holding our annual “Buddy Day” on Saturday 29th March, which is an opportunity for anyone to fly in another aircraft type to the one they normally fly. Students, Pilots (and maybe even visitors) alike - just ask one of the folk milling around on the day if they have a plane and a spare seat.
The Buddy Day will start at 11.00am with a cup of tea in the Tipsy Nipper Restaurant. This is a chance to meet other club members and to have a chat, exchange experiences or try to talk your way into a different aircraft type. The BBQ will be on hand from around 12.30pm but flying will start as soon as anyone wants to get in the air and have a go in another aircraft type – maybe different to what you are learning on or are used to flying. It’s about sharing experience – Pilots may ask for a small contribution on the day, may swap you a trip or maybe even settle for a cup of tea.
Aircraft available so far – the TB9 (G-BKUE), a Warrior ..... possibly a Grob and a few other types as well.
