Summer Fly-In & Open Day
Saturday 16th June 2012 (11.00am - 4.00pm)
The Fife Flying Club Annual Summer Fly-In & Open Day will take place this June and once again, there will be a wide range of stalls, attractions and aerial activities to entertain and amuse people of all ages and interests. We'll have art and craft stalls, guide dogs for the blind, kids entertainment activities, a display of military vehicles, the local police and fire service plus the usual air experience flights for those who have never ventured into the sky in a light aircraft. A special feature this year will be a giant slide, particularly for the young ones (but we might let some of the not-so-young ones have a go as well!).
We also have a fantastic range of prizes for our Grand Raffle this year. Have a look at some of the great prizes on offer!
We're also holding a "Spot Landing Competition" as an added bit of fun this year. The idea is to try and land your aircraft as close as possible to a specific target marker line on the runway.
It's a great family day out opportunity and this year we're hoping to expand the range of attractions and maybe include some live music playing during the day. So why not make a point of coming long at some point on the day and enjoy the atmosphere, support the club and show what a great asset the Flying Club is both to the local community in Glenrothes and across Fife.
