Club Night - PFL (Practice Forced Landing) Briefing & Curry Night

Tuesday 21st August 2012

Our next Club Night will be Tuesday 21st August ay 7.30pm in the Tipsy Nipper. Craig Macleod, CFI, will be giving a briefing on what to do when that big noisy thing at the front end of your aircraft suddenly goes all quiet on you (no, you don't panic - but what do you do?).

There are a number of students for whom this will be a very topical and useful briefing and even seasoned PPLs will benefit from a bit of a refresher on the basic principles as Craig reckons that when it's time for SEP Revalidations, the PFL is often the weak point of the PPL's flying ..... after all, how often do you practise something like this when you're out flying for fun?

Once Craig has finished his briefing, we'll sit down for a spot of curry with the chance to chat about PFLs and a 'DURING' dinner speech by ex-Air Traffic Controller David Gunson (recorded - not in person !!).

So, if you'd like to come along, please: log onto the Discussion Forum and leave a post or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
