Fly-Out to Eshott
Saturday 15th December 2012
The Annual Fife Flying Club Wings Dinner is a key event in the flying club calendar providing an opportunity for members, their families and friends to celebrate flying achievements, socialise and enjoy a quality Christmas dinner.
We're planning a fly-out to Eshott in Northumberland on Saturday 15th December. Eshott is just south of Alnwick and north of the Newcastle Zone where you will find a great wee flying club in the middle of nowhere and based on an old disused WWII RAF airfield.
Fly-outs are a great opportunity to meet new club members and even get to fly in a type of aircraft different to what you normally fly. Whether you're a PPL or student, we can usually sort out seating arrangements to accommodate those wishing to come along so if you're a student who's got the length of studying Navigation, why not use this as a chance to fly somewhere slightly different? If you haven't got to the Nav bit of the course, the trip is a chance to see how getting yourself around the country isn't quite as daunting as you might think!
The plan is to aim for a 9.30am-10.00am take-off, returning by 3.30pm before darkness falls.
